Happy Saturday!

Happy Saturday everyone!

Our day started off with quite the excitement. :) Momma, Daddy, and Savannah were all laying in bed (after Savannah woke us up... she doesn't sleep in our bed) and Savannah was jabbering up a storm. Daddy was playing with her and he said "Say, Hi Da-Da" and, no joke, she grinned and said "Hi Da-Da!" :) She has never put two words together before! :) The kid is a genius, I'm tellin ya! :) She may not be able to crawl, but I think that qualifies as saying her first sentence. :) Maybe she'll just be uncoordinated but talkative, like her Momma... :) :) :)

Anyway, our Saturday was busy! Momma cleaned the house while Savannah took a nap.

She likes to sleep on her face and won't have it any other way, just in case you wondered why she looks like she's face-planted in the bed.

Then we made some food to eat tomorrow afternoon (we thought we'd avoid the crowded restaurants on Mother's Day!) We discovered, while cooking, that marshmallows are definitely Savannah's new favorite food.

Then, Daddy got home with a load of mulch for Momma's flower beds, and Savannah helped him spread it. Well, sort of. She supervised.

But what she really wanted was for him to pick her up. :)

She always enjoys being outside though! In fact, I couldn't get her to look at the camera because she was too interested in the birds, flowers, and people passing by!

Then, Mimi came and got Savannah (she was quite eager to see her after being gone "a whole week!") and now Daddy and Momma get to have a date night! :)
