Holy moley. Brooklyn is in the second half of her first year! How did this happen?!
She continues to be the. sweetest. baby. and I'm okay if she wants to stay little forever...but it doesn't look like that is going to happen! Weighing in at 15 pounds, 14 ounces, she has nearly tripled her birth weight already. She definitely doesn't want to be called a runt. ;)
She is not sitting up yet, but we are working on that in her therapy sessions. She has "hypotonia", which means low muscle tone, so she is going to have a harder time doing physical things than other kids. But, little Brooklyn has always been a fighter, so she will continue to press on. She has, however, completely mastered rolling, and can roll clear to the other side of the room if she wants to! In fact, yesterday, she may or may not have rolled out of her bouncy seat while I was taking a shower. Ahem.
She continues to be a good eater and loves baby food. She is taking 6 ounces of milk at each feeding, plus a jar of baby food. Her favorite is oatmeal with peaches and bananas. No teeth yet, but I hope they come soon since she is a drooling fool and biting everything in sight!
She is sleeping about 12 hours at night now, much to my delight. She takes two naps, usually at 10 and 2.
She continues to adore her big sister, and she laughs more at her than anyone else. She has quite the infectious little giggle.
I'm so thankful that God has entrusted me with these two beautiful, fun little girls!
