Maybe, baby.

Maybe... if you smile really cute... you can get what you want.

Maybe you can get a larger-than-average adult...to climb in your smaller-than-average tent.
(Is that a work boot I see?!)

Maybe he will even enjoy it if you cheer "hooray! Daddy! You fit, you fit in my tent!"

Maybe you can also talk him into inviting "baby" in for the camping trip.

Maybe, baby.

Adventures in Wal-Mart

Have you ever read that book... it starts out something like...if you give a mouse a cookie... he'll ask you for some milk... and then... and it goes on and on.

Well, in similar fashion, I present, if you take a toddler to Wal-Mart...

On the way to Wal-Mart, the toddler may say something like...
"I not need to go to Wal-Mart! I'm too big! I need to go to church now. Church is more fun than Wal-Mart."

You may arrive at Wal-Mart, and the toddler may direct you into a proper parking space. "No, mom! Not there! Over there!"

You may walk in the door... only to be told by the toddler that she needs in the buggy... and then she may interrupt herself... that she needs McDonald's first. She may then say, "Sorry mom. I not need to ride in buggy right now, I need fry-fries first. I help you shop later, okaaaaay?"

She may then ask you if McDonalds is the same McDonalds with a farm... e-i-e-i-o?

She might pick her nose while you're ordering french fries, and then inform you loudly that she is going to eat her booger, much to the amusement of the teenage boys working at McDonalds.

You may finally get loaded into the buggy and begin shopping. You may pass a very large handicapped woman in a motorized shopping cart and your toddler may yell "Momma! Look! What IS that? You see? What IS it?!"

You may have to take the toddler to the bathroom no less than four times in Wal-Mart.

You may hear, "I need OUT!" every other aisle. Me too, kiddo, me too.

You may go to check out, and the toddler may "help" by throwing random items onto the conveyor belt, much to the amusement of the cashier. She may then strike up conversation with the cashier. "I got chocolate milk now! We not have milk to put in my cup. I had to drink water today."

You may go out to the car, where, as you are loading groceries, the toddler may inform you that its cold outside and you really need to hurry it up. "Its brrrr outside, mom! You need to put in car really really fast, okaaaay?"

You may drive home... and discover that you forgot something. Sigh. Unfortunately, there will always be another Wal-Mart trip!

You Might Be a Redneck If...

The mailbox gets run over by a dump truck in a snow storm and this is your husband's idea of temporarily replacing it... until the snow melts. Wonder what our oh-so-cheerful mailman thinks of this arrangement?!

Christmas Eve Breakfast.

Sometimes... people think getting up early to go to breakfast on your day off is crazy.

But wouldn't you get up early for a date with this cute face?!

Breakfast at Hotel Roanoke is always delicious!

And good company certainly doesn't hurt the equation at all.

Sometimes... you can even get good family pictures.

Other times, you get more realistic ones.

But it doesn't really matter when you're with family.

Sometimes, after a huge breakfast buffet, you need a few minutes to relax.

Before you enjoy the magic of the Christmas tree display.

But when its all said and done... sometimes you can dress them up...

...and you still can't take them out.

Merry Christmas!

Is It Time To Open Presents Yet?!

Yes, yes it is.

Its Beginning to Look a Lot Like...

"Its Brrr Outside!"

We were surprised yesterday with... 21 inches of snow!
I think it safe to say, in the words of my favorite toddler, "Its brrrr outside!"

We won't be using our deck furniture any time soon!

Savannah didn't know what to think. She knew it was snow... actually she claims its HER snow... but she had no idea what to do...but she loves it!

My husband is definitely lobbying for a 4-wheel drive trade in now. Lets just say the minivan wasn't in favor of off-roading.

Sasha didn't approve either.

But this little girl LOVED it.

Apparently, you have to weigh something in order to make a sled move.

So Daddy cleared her a path.

Whew!!!

I would totally sled more if I got a ride back up the hill like this.
She's not spoiled or anything!
[Actually I think it had more to do with the fact that Daddy got tired of waiting for her to make it through the waist-deep snow!]

Whoa! Too fast.

There's nothing like Momma's homemade hot chocolate to warm a girl up.

And thats my girl... if you can get the chocolate in your mouth with a cup... use a spoon... or whatever it takes.

What a fun snow day/week/weekend!
