Preschool Field Trip

I got to go on the preschool field trip this week and we had a blast!

Savannah and I got to spend some quality time together, which doesn't happen a whole lot anymore with baby sister around.

The farm was awesome! So much fun for everyone.

Except maybe the hostile pigs.

These preschoolers had a fabulous time, though.

They rode the cow train...

And played in the corn crib...

Jumped on the "thing like pump-it-up."

Enjoyed the beautiful mountain views...

Rode on a hayride...

Survived a trek through the corn maze...

Picked pumpkins...

Sat on huge pumpkins...

And had a wonderful day!
And now.... we are off to the Carribean! Be back on the internet on Monday!!!

Overheard at My House

"Mommy, are you tired?" - Savannah
"Yeah, a little bit." - Momma
"Well, you look a whole lot tired." - Savannah

"Darren! Stop holding her like that! You're scaring me." - Momma
"Uhhh, Daddy.... she's serious." - Savannah

"I sat next to the teacher at story time!" - Savannah
"Oh. Were you in trouble?" - Momma
"No. I was just talking to that other girl the whole time the teacher was telling a story." - Savannah

"Moooom! Mom!!!! I learned something at school today!" - Savannah
"What did you learn?" - Momma
"When boys are in the bathroom, girls can't go in there." - Savannah

Date Fourteen: Double Date

We actually got to go on TWO dates this past week (I know, shocker!) because Savannah, Brooklyn, and Momma are going to be out of town most of this week. We are leavin' on a jet plane... for the Carribean! Cousin Courtney is having a destination wedding, and Momma is a bridesmaid, and Savannah is a flower girl! Duty calls... at the beach! But enough about that for now...

For date fourteen, we went on a double date! We had Japanese with our wonderful friends, Steve and Christy. It was SO much fun. And we were STUFFED. Japanese is one of our favorites, even if my hubby does put away an embarassing amount of "yum-yum sauce."

Aaaand, I forgot my camera. So, no pictures. Boo! But we all know that you don't come to this blog to see pictures of me, now do ya?! ;)

Date Thirteen: Backwards Date

This week, we went on a date backwards. We started with ice cream.
[Now thats my kind of date!]

Then, we went to the movies.
Please note that I can now use a student discount again. Yesss.

And, we ended our date with a dinner of appetizers. Yes, that is a lot of food. No, we did not eat it all. But appetizers are half-price after 9, and we couldn't decide what we wanted. All of this food for $16 bucks? Suh-weeet! Too bad one drink costs almost that much at the movies. Ha.

Please note that this was not a date recommended for the healthy eaters of this world.
Please also note that we don't normally eat like this.
