Yep, thats right, she said "Da-Da" today. Here is cute video. :)
We are just a small southern family on a crazy journey. Momma, the author, created this blog so that we can share the joy, frustration, and happy chaos that we experience through our marriage and with our beautiful little girls. We hope you enjoy reading about our everyday adventures...but don't hold them against us...

Missin' Mimi
Savannah and Sydney
I was blessed enough to have a friend who was pregnant the same time I was, and we got to experience the joys of pregnancy together! Savannah and Sydney were born only six weeks apart, and now that our babies are here, we get to experience their growing up together as well! :) We met Autumn, Charlie, and Sydney for dinner last night, and of course I had to take pictures of our darling girls together! :)
Miss Personality 1...
And Miss Personality 2 :)
These might just be the prettiest blue-eyed girls in the valley! :)
I hope Savannah and Sydney stay friends for a very long time!!! :)

Pretty Day, Pretty Girl
This morning, when I got Savannah dressed, I thought she looked so cute that we needed to take a picture! :) But, being the girly girl she is, she was so interested in her new shoes that she wouldn't look at the camera!
Flowers are SO much fun!
After church and lunch, we decided to go visit Savannah's great grandma because Cousin Courtney was in town, and we took advantage of the beautiful weather and Mawmaw's beautiful flowers to take some really cute pictures! :) (We ditched the shoes so she'd pay attention.)
Courtney, Momma, and Savannah!
Flowers are SO much fun!
Her toes even curled up with the delight of the pretty day! :)
We hope you had as much fun outside today as we did!

A Day to Party :)
Well, we definitely have had a big weekend so far!
Savannah was more interested in getting her hands on Leigh Ann's flowers than anything else...

Today, one of our friends got married! Leigh Ann made a beautiful bride! Here are some shots from their wedding...
Savannah was more interested in getting her hands on Leigh Ann's flowers than anything else...
Aunt NeeNee got in some much needed Savannah time.
And Daddy and Anthony used half of a mile of seran wrap on the newlywed car...boys...
Then, we came home, changed clothes, and went to Miss Melisa's graduation party. Momma didn't take any pictures there, but we still had a great time, and as Jacob Wall stated, it was very important, because today was "Melisa's first day as a real grown up!" :)
Then, we came home and relaxed, and Savannah surprised us by crawling one step. Just one, and then she wiped out, but it counts for something!
She can't wait until she can really crawl so she can get her hands on Sasha! For now, Sasha can get away and save her fur from the hair pulling monster. :)
Not for long, Sasha! Run while you can!
:) They really are buddies, as long as Savannah doesn't get a grip on the fur. Sasha actually plays a game where she runs up, licks Savannah right on the face, and then runs away before she can get scolded by Momma or grabbed by Savannah. And Savannah thinks its hilarious!
After playing in the floor, Momma got some snuggle time in with her girl.
And then we tried to do a self taken family shot. It almost turned out, so we tried another.
It turned out like this.
We then decided it was bed time after a long day of partying. :) Goodnight!

Eight Months Old
Savannah is now a big eight months old! I can't hardly believe it! It has definitely been the most fun and the most challenging eight months of my life! :) She is such a joy in our home! She is pretty good most of the time and likes to smile, wave, and entertain! :)
She loves attention and will do something repeatedly to get a good laugh out of everyone. She often surveys her audience to see how many people are paying attention, and she will squeal to get the attention of whoever isn't watching, because of course paying attention to her is the most important thing anyone could be doing! Haha.
She is quite vocal and says "Hi", "Bye", "Momma", "Uh-oh", "Yay", and "Mo-mo" (Elmo). Daddy is still waiting to her Da-da...but she hasn't attempted that D sound yet. She blows kisses, spits, waves, and claps her hands as well. :)
She has a hearty appetite and I think she's gained a good bit of weight this month. She is feeling heavier by the day and those cubby little hands and feet are growing, along with that cute little belly! :) Her favorite foods are still the sweet fruits, but this month she has also gotten to enjoy a wider variety of table food with her new teeth...and ice cream is definitely at the top of the list now. :) She also likes to make eyes at her Daddy and see if he will give her sips of his sweet tea. (He always gives in!)
She is ALMOST crawling (gets up on all fours and rocks) and ALMOST sleeping through the night (sleeps until 4 or 5 am)... those are things we look forward to this month. :)
Our prayer requests this month are:
1. Health and safety for our little girl.
2. Safety in travel to the beach at the end of the month.
3. Savannah will have a receptive heart and sweet spirit as she is learning to obey.
4. That she will one day come to a saving knowledge of the Lord!
5. The next two teeth will come in uneventfully.
Here is a goodbye kiss from Savannah! Thanks for reading and for praying for our baby these first eight months!
