Miss Priss

When it became known that we were having a girl, was there ever any doubt about how girly she would be? I think probably not...

Its just too much fun being a girly girl!

Savannah can cook with curlers in her hair...

And multitask like a real woman... walking, cooking, and looking good...

But when I took the curlers out, I started to have doubts about this girly business. She looked like a replacement for Bozo the clown.

But a comb and a bow whipped that into shape.

And our girly girl looked adorable.

Side view (notice the "I'm not looking at you" face)...

Back view...

But this was the cutest part of the day... I was putting on my makeup, and Savannah started to fuss, so I handed her a brush, thinking it would entertain her for a little bit, and this is what she did...

Imitation is the name of the game.

Pretty girl!

Well, it might take a little practice...

But she'll be girly in no time at all!

Party Time

Boy, we sure have been doing a lot of celebrating around here! Daddy turned a big 23 on Friday and we celebrated for several days! We had spice cake with cream cheese icing (Daddy's favorite) with his family...

And while Liz gave him part of his birthday present (10 free foot massages)...

Emily taught Savannah how to get on the internet using a Blackberry!

After celebrating with Daddy, we headed over to Sydney's first birthday party. Aunt Candice and Savannah had a lot of fun playing together...

Sydney opened her presents...

And then it was time to dig into the cake...

Is there a baby behind that cake?

Yes, indeed, a very messy baby. :)

Happy first birthday, Sydney! Thanks for letting us share in the fun!

We went to the Homeplace after Sydney's party to celebrate Daddy's birthday again, and that, of course, was very yummy! We have been having so much fun celebrating!
And while we are on the subject of birthdays, we've had two new friends join the world! Caroline Grace Frankie was born on Wednesday, and Audrey Faith Naff was born yesterday! We are so excited and can't wait to meet our new friends!
Well, we better sign off for now... we've had so much partying lately that we are just exhausted... and its only Monday! :)

Curly-Q

I put Savannah's hair on curlers and it turned out cute but not very neat. Haha. It was kind of crazy but I liked it!

Blessings in a Pumpkin Patch

Our Sunday School class had our October social at a nearby farm. It was so much fun! We had a blast feeding farm animals, riding on a hayride, making our way through a corn maze, and finally, finding perfect little pumpkins in the pumpkin patch!

Savannah has always loved to ride on Daddy's shoulders, but she's recently gotten a kick out of peeking over to see him.

She did not understand why she couldn't eat her pumpkin then and there.

She definitely decided the pumpkin was a ball and threw it from up here. Luckily, it survived.

We are blessed to have friends with kids Savannah's age. Titus was born the same day as Savannah, in the hospital room next door! Who would've guessed the other pregnant woman at church would have her baby just hours before and that they would play together later?!

Savannah loved "driving" the "tractor."

And she and Emma bonded on a bale of hay. What good friends they are growing up to be!

We had a great time and left very thankful for friends, family, and fall!

13 Months Old

I can't believe Savannah is 13 months old...how the time flies! She is still working on two teeth on the top that are sooo close to coming in! She will chomp down on anything and everything... Her favorite foods right now are french fries, chicken nuggets, ice cream, easy mac, spaghetti, pears, chocolate graham crackers, and M&Ms! :) She is officially off of the bottle now and doesn't drink hardly any milk, but we are keeping her healthy with vitamins and other foods.

Crawling is still her preferred mode of transportation...

But she will walk every now and then. I wouldn't quite call her a walker yet though.

She LOVES other kids and is very entertained when friends come over! Here she is playing with her friend Emma.

Her arm is all better! She can even "palm" a ball in her left hand now.

And she has become quite the climber...

Got it!
Savannah is also down to one nap a day now. I first thought it would be terrible, but it actually made her sleep in later (until between 8:30 and 9 am) and take a LONG afternoon nap too! It has actually turned out really well. She also goes down without a fuss, whereas before she would tend to fuss for a few minutes when I put her down for a nap.
And....for those of you moms out there that like free stuff (who doesn't?!), you should enter the sweepstakes at enfaville.com (you can get to it from the Enfamil website). I entered and was an instant winner of this Fisher Price Grand Piano! It came in the mail yesterday and here is the picture as proof... yes, people actually win things on sweepstakes. I was pretty psyched.
Thats all I know for now! We are headed out to the pumpkin patch with friends this afternoon and I'm sure we'll have more pictures for you then! I also have pictures of Savannah's hair after curlers when it actually curled, but for some reason they won't upload right now. I'll keep you posted on that too. :)
