Blowing Kisses...

I don't know if you can really tell what she is doing in this video or not... sorry it is bad quality! She is actually blowing kisses without her hand. :) Its really adorable and the video doesn't do it justice, but maybe this will suffice until we get some better footage. :)

Tailgating... :)

We went to Sams and I set Savannah in the back of the car when I was loading stuff in...and she just thought it was the coolest thing ever to sit there with all of that stuff! Here is our cute little tailgating girlie :)

Bring on the Beach

Here is one of the outfits Momma and Gram-B got Savannah...

She might just been the cutest little thing to ever wear spaghetti straps :)

She thought she deserved a round of applause for looking so cute. :) Now we are ready to hit the beach! Hurry up, June! :)

Eating and Sleeping...Simultaneously?!

Savannah is afraid that if she falls asleep for even a second, she will miss something terribly exciting going on in the world. Therefore, she stays awake until she can't possibly hold her eyes open anymore, and then she crashes...hard. Last week, it occurred in the exersaucer. This week, in the highchair while eating an apple in the mesh feeder. :)

Why Do I Let Him Babysit? :)

I walked out of the room for maybe ten minutes... and came back to this... Grandmothers, close your eyes and step away from the computer. Mothers everywhere, lock up your children.

Step 1. Tickle baby's feet while she starts to giggle.

Step 2. Boost high overhead...upside down.

Step 3. Boost even higher. Baby starts to giggle and grabs Daddy's arms.

Step 4. Hang by legs and let baby grab Daddy's face while baby is giggling hysterically. Make Momma gasp.

Step 5. Say "Look Momma, no hands!" just to get Momma really irritated. Baby is still laughing hysterically but manages to try to look at the camera while Momma glares at Daddy for what she is quite sure will result in brain damage.

Step 6. Baby is returned to upright position while Momma is seriously thinking Daddy should've taken that baby care class at the hospital. Pretty sure they would've covered something about holding a baby upside down by their legs just to get a good giggle out of her...

Visitors, Antibiotics, Fish, and Shopping?!?! :)

Yep, that pretty much sums up our weekend!

Grandad's mom, dad, and sister came to visit, so Savannah had lots and lots of spoiling! :) There were always plenty of hands to hold her and give her little treats or a tickle, or whatever else she wanted! :) She likes visitors! :)

Savannah also started on her antibiotics from the doctor and although she is still battling the runny nose, she is much better and sleeping a good bit now! :) Yaaaay! :)

Daddy had quite a fun weekend. On Friday, he took the day off work to go trout fishing at Cripple Creek with the work guys. He caught a lot of fish! One of them that he caught was 3 inches shy of being as long as Savannah! Wow! :) On Saturday, we had a fish fry at Gram-B's house. :) We only fixed half of the fish Daddy caught and it was more than we could eat. And let me tell you, I'm not even a real seafood lover, but they were tasty! :)

Just two of the five trout he caught...

We thought Daddy's fish was the perfect first fish for Savannah to try! The verdict was good... she liked it! She gave it a big grin :)
I'm not sure about the texture, Momma!
Well, I guess its okay! I think I'll give it a big smile... :)
Momma and Gram-B also went shopping for summer baby clothes on Saturday while Daddy and Grampster worked. They racked up on some really cute outfits. Here is a sample of her new PJ's, which we thought were just perfect for her. :) You'll have to wait until it gets warmer to see her other cute things!
"Insomniac - one who is unable to sleep through the night"
Momma loves this picture of Savannah cutting her eyes over :)

Well, thats about all for now! We hope you had a great weekend as well! :)

Sick Girlie :(

Savannah cried alllll night last night (3 am to 8 am) in spite of Momma walking the house with her. She also had a runny nose, so I called the doctor this morning, and he agreed to see her.

She weighed a healthy 17 pounds, but she has a sinus infection and a very red throat! :(

He gave her some Amoxicillin to take for the next ten days and hopefully she'll be feeling better soon!

Pray that our little sickie gets well soon so she isn't so miserable and Momma doesn't have to pace the house all night much longer!

Red Sox Nation

With the start of baseball season, we just wanted to make sure everyone knew where our family stands :) We've tried our best to start Savannah off as a Boston fan from the very beginning. :) (She wore Red Sox socks her first day of life, thanks to her Daddy packing the hospital bag!) This is her most recent Red Sox getup...

Go Red Sox! :)

Its Getting Sleepy in Here...

Nana always says "Its getting sleepy in here." There was never a more appropriate title for this video. :)

I was typing and Savannah was playing in her exersaucer when she got very quiet, and I looked up and noticed she had grabbed her blankie off the chair, popped her paci in her mouth, and was dozing off standing up! :)

Yay!!!!

So I realized the other day that everytime Savannah does something cute or funny or completes a task, like eating, I clap my hands and say "Yay!"

Well, monkey see, monkey do. Check this out.

Any Man Can Be A Father, But It Takes A Special Person To Be A Dad

"One father is more than a hundred schoolmasters." - George Herbert

"Fathers, be good to your daughters because daughters will love like you do." -John Mayer

Darren is a wonderful father! Because of that, this weekend was exciting because he got to hang out with us a good bit instead of working away. A lot of Saturdays he works because this is the busy season, but this Saturday, Savannah got some quality Daddy time.

These two are just too cute together. Darren adores Savannah and is really quite mushy about it, although he'd act all tough and not mushy if you asked him. He claimed the other night that something she did must be the "Cutest thing I've ever seen." Can you imagine Darren saying that?! He did! :)

And Savannah just loves to play with her Daddy! She smiles SO big when he gets home and just can't wait to go "flying" (sorry, Gram-B), be tickled, or manipulate him into feeding her chocolate or something with her cute little faces. He is definitely wrapped around a very tiny set of fingers! :)

I came outside on Saturday evening and found these two sitting in the porch swing just like this and I just thought it was too cute.

By Sunday, they were exhausted from all of their playing and needed a nap. I love how Savannah's naptime turns into Daddy's naptime too... :)

I'm so thankful for a husband who is a fabulous father to my our precious little girl!

Remembering The Day...

One year ago today, we found out that we were going to have a girl! :)

I still remember that moment when the ultrasound technician said "I'm pretty sure you're having a little girl." I was absolutely thrilled. We went out that night and registered for everything pink in Target and ToysRUs :)

Here are some of my Savannah pregnancy pictures while I'm in the mood to remember the past... :) While I know I wasn't fond of the swollen feet, barfing my guts out, or really much else about pregnancy, they really are precious memories.

We are so thankful for our beautiful GIRL. We love her more than she'll ever know!

For the Love of Flowers...

We've just completed a two-day landscaping adventure!

Gram-B, Momma, and Savannah went flower shopping, and then Gram-B tilled the dirt and Momma planted while Savannah supervised! :) Here are some pictures of our dirt-digging, flower-planting, mulch-spreading adventure. :)

Savannah had to check out the flowers. She'd never seen real flowers up close before!

She is going to like gardening.

She especially liked Auntie Em's pocketbook plant. Bright red and yellow are the colors to stare at!

She supervised the placement of the flowers and mulch.

What are you doing over there, Momma?!

And the finished products...

Momma immensely enjoys gardening and is so glad Savannah enjoyed being outside and checking out the flowers. There might be many years of mother-daughter landscaping in our future!
