Happy Monday! Four more days till its Friday again...

Well, sadly, the weekend is over, and its back to work! :)

Here was what our weekend looked like...

Friday- Daddy took Momma out on a fancy date as a surprise! They went to a nice restaurant called Table 50 in downtown Roanoke. They got really good steaks for dinner and then went to see the movie "Fools Gold" which was also really good. Then they came and picked me up from Mimi's house! I had fun there while they were having fun out on their date.

Saturday- I ran errands with Momma and then went to a bridal shower with Momma and Gram-B. I don't know what that bridal shower thing was all about, but everybody there wanted to see me and they all laughed everytime I waved. Weird, huh?!

Sunday- We went to church and then while I napped with Daddy, Momma went shopping for stuff to re-decorate their room. She found some stuff she really liked, and she is not done yet, but here is the look so far...

Then, because I knew Momma was tired, I decided to randomly sleep 10 hours last night. I woke up with a big smile and very sleepy eyes and Momma thought it was cute so she took my picture. :)

But I really wanted the camera so I made a move for it...
But Momma wouldn't let me have it so I smiled a sleepy smile instead.
Happy Monday!

A First Time for Everything!

Now I know there is a first time for everything. But as first-time parents, we get excited about all of these first-time things. So bear with my excited ranting. :)

Today was first timer for two things. First of all, Savannah's first tooth broke through sometime during the night last night and she woke up with it. :) I was excited that this happened without event, since Savannah seems to do everything the hard way. Maybe teething will be an easy thing for us. That only seems fair, right? Here is picture of the pearly white just barely peeping through the gums. :) And believe me, it was hard to get. Have you ever tried to take a picture of a baby's one tooth?! Its on the bottom... her left, your right, if you're looking for it :) I'll take a better picture once the tooth finishes its journey out here to join us.

Today was also the first day that Savannah wore a real big girl hairbow! :) I'm sure it certainly won't be the last. That fuzzy hair actually holds a clip now! :)

Savannah has been waving "hi" (although it sounds more like "haaaaaaaa" when she says it)...and "bye-bye" ("baaaaaaaaaa-baaaaaaaaaaa") for about two weeks now, but today was the first time I was able to capture it. Here's my little genius in action. :)

Thats a lot to accomplish in one day, don't ya think?! :) Happy Friday! Bye-bye!

Our World This Week...

Well, we have had a few minor things going on this week to update you about, and they may not seem like much, but hey- its all in the small stuff.

1. Savannah is on the move. I wouldn't call this move "crawling" exactly, but she can get to where she wants to be. I caught the play by play for you, as detailed below...
First, spot the paci, or any other desirable object, just out of reach.

Quickly, flip over on belly and make a move toward the object using an army crawl stance.

Grab the paci and grin at Mom. Theres no way she can stop you now.

Continue to grin. She'll never be able to keep anything cool away from you again.

2. Savannah has discovered exactly what the camera is, and how she is supposed to pose for it. The child is such a ham that it is a little frightening. I'm afraid she is going to be quite vain, actually. Just look at the face I got when I said "Smile for the camera!"

3. The Spring weather has arrived in Roanoke and its gorgeous! Gram-B came over and played with Savannah while Momma caught up on some work. They slept in the swing, and then woke up to smile :)

Savannah had to test out the grass on this pretty day. She actually found it quite amusing.

Momma wanted a picture in front of the pretty tree. Momma and Daddy planted this tree almost exactly a year ago, right after they found out they were having a GIRL! When they planted it, it was the same height as Momma! Look how big it is now!

4. We're still waiting on teeth to emerge. We hope they come soon. We thought they'd be here by Valentine's Day, and then by Easter for sure. Now we're hoping they arrive before Christmas 2008...

Until then, we'll just hang out with our fun new bunny slippers! :) Thats our world this week! We hope you have a great week as well! :)

Along Came the Easter Bunny...and the Stomach Flu...

Happy Easter a little late, everybody! :) Momma had a serious bout with the stomach flu this past week, so we've been missing in action lately. I got a lot of attention from my Gram-B and Mimi while Momma recovered. Then, Easter was here! Momma dressed me up...

And I saw Titus at church, who was actually born three hours before me in the room right next door at the hospital, and our mommies thought we were so cute that they took our picture together.

Daddy was lookin' good too. Momma cropped herself out of this picture because, well, lets just say she looked like she had just recovered from the stomach flu.

Mimi was really pretty and she loved on me like she always does.

Then they took my picture in my spring chicken outfit that Miss Blaire gave me. Thanks, Blaire!

Now, don't be fooled by the empty easter basket. It was only empty after I took all of my cool things out of it. I got an Elmo book and two Elmo movies from Mimi and Grandad, and then we went to Gram-B's house where Gram-B and Grampster gave me a basket of toys!

I love Easter!!! :)

6 Months Old and Growing Like A...Daisy!

Savannah had her six month check up and shots on Friday, and the doctor says she looks great! :) She now weighs 16 pounds, 3 ounces, and is 27 inches long. She is in the 50th percentile for both her height and her weight, which is a big improvement from her four month check up when she was only in the 30th percentile for her weight. We're glad to see our girl looking so healthy! :) And we're also glad that there will be no more shots until she is a year old! :)

On Sunday, we went to visit Miss Mary, and Hannah was kind enough to let Savannah borrow her daisy headband. How cute is this little flower?!

A Day with Auntie Em

The other day we went to Gram-B's house, and Aunti Em was home.

She gave me my first pedicure ever!

I tried to help her because that bright pink polish looked pretty cool, but they kept telling me not to touch it. I swiped it a few times anyways, but Auntie Em took it like a pro and now my toes look fabulous.

Now Gram-B thinks my toes look a lot like Momma's.

Thats cool with me. I love my Momma!

I love being a girly girl with my Auntie Em and Momma!

Then to top it all off, Auntie Em let me chew on her bracelet. :) Yum.

I love being a Beckner girl! :)

Think about me this afternoon... I have to go get icky shots! :( I hate shots, and so does Momma. But the good part is that I will get to have dinner with Mimi tonight...

That's all for now! See ya later!
